Sails.js Launches Official Community Space on Discord

Kelvin Omereshone

First the news: the Sails.js core team and Sailscasts have collaborated to bring forth an official Discord community for Sails.js 🎉

You can join the Sails.js Discord now.

The journey so far

When I began my journey with Sails.js years ago, my first goal was to connect with other amazing developers using the framework. At that time, I knew Discord as a hub where developer-focused communities gathered to help one another.

However, Sails.js had a Gitter community. So, in 2021, I created the Sailscasts Discord to fill that gap. Fast-forward four years, and that small community has now grown into the official Sails.js community.

A revival of the Sails community

We strongly believe that for any open-source technology to thrive, it must have a healthy community. With the launch of the official Sails.js Discord community, we are taking a step toward revitalizing the Sails ecosystem, focusing on nurturing our community.

The Sails.js Discord space is perfect for:

  • Connecting with Sails.js maintainers, influencers, contributors, and every member of the Sails community
  • Facilitating discussions about Sails.js and its ecosystem, answering questions, and sharing projects
  • Receiving the latest updates on Sails.js releases and events like the annual Sailsconf conference

We are eager to see the Sails.js community thrive and grow. If you have any ideas or feedback, please share them in the #discord-feedback channel on the server.

Long live Sails.js!
